Description

Made with chicken breast as the only source of protein, Thrive Chicken Breast wet kitten food is cooked in chicken broth with added vitamins and minerals to give your kitten a complete nutritionally balanced meal. This food is complete, which means it can be fed on its own or with our Thrive PremiumPlus dry food, depending on your kitten's preference.

Kittens (and cats) are strict carnivores and have no dietary need for carbohydrates such as grains (e.g. rice or wheat). For this reason, our kitten wet food is protein-focused and grain-free, with only 0.5% carbohydrate content.

Good hydration is vital for a healthy kitten, which is why all our wet foods are formulated with 'free liquid' water for optimum hydration, instead of the artificial gelling agents found in other brands. When it comes to wet food, our philosophy at Thrive is: "wetter is better!"

Feeding Guide

All breeds of kittens are different and all kittens vary in requirements. We recommend feeding 3 to 4 tins a day depending on your kitten’s activity level and their own personal requirements. Kittens start to eat solid foods from about three weeks and are fully weaned at about eight weeks. At first they need small meals often (about four or five a day) but by about six months, two meals a day are usually fine. This can continue throughout their adult life, depending on your cat’s preference.

Seed oil/sunflower oil

Just realised this food contains a seed oil (Sunflower oil) in it. I read that your food claims to contain no nonsense and no artificial addatives. Since it’s quite widely known now that sunflower oil/all seed oils are highly processed and highly toxic - especially to small animals and humans - please can you create a sunflower oil-seed oil-free food. Find a better way to deliver omega 3/6 please.

Also - are any of your products seed-oil free please? I’ll happily buy those as your food is still very good quality compared to most. But until I see seed-oil food I’ll continue to roast a chicken to feed my 6 cats/maine coon! Larger tins would also be easier as I need 8 tins per day.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. This shows the high level of care you have, which is a testament to you.

We do add a tiny amount of sunflower oil to ensure there are the sufficient fats in our foods, so that they are complete in terms of a full spectrum of nutrients that are required to thrive!

We have not heard of any potential hazards from sunflower oil; especially in the small amounts in the foods even on a daily basis. Fat is vital to great health.

I hope that gives you security; please know that no pet has ever been harmed by any Thrive products nor any recalls on products.

Yours sincerely
Thrive, x

At Last Our Long Wait Is Over!!!

We and our super mum have been waiting so long for this to come back into stock...we made life hard for our human mum who had to spend ages cutting up the Thrive Adult food so our little mouths could cope with eating it. We live off this food, both the Chicken and the Tuna. It is excellent quality and doesn't upset our delicate tums. Our human owners ordered almost 1000 tins for us and some arrived today...as you can see from our photo. Please Thrive don't run out of stock again...or our mum might think about giving us away!!! Peanut, Popcorn, Pumpkin, Toffee and our mum Biscuit x

Never in stock even when told it’s coming.

Kittens love this. They aren’t good with fish but I was told it would be in stock this week. Today is Friday and it’s not here.

Good morning,
We are very sorry that this hasn't been in stock over the past week - it will be back in stock on Wednesday. Although this is a one-off, we are also dissapointed that it has happened, as we want the kittens to have their Thrive, especially as they love it so much!

Yum yum

Our cats love this food. Great food for elderly cats with IBD. What a relief there are some cat foods out there that have quality ingredients and that are kind to their tummys.

Fantastic cat food!

Fantastic! The cat food is very high quality with no junk in it. The Thrive wets tins with some Thrive dry has been the main diet for my 7 cats for the last 10 years and they are doing great. I would highly recommend trying anything made by Thrive!

The quality is very good

One of my cats has a sensitive tummy. After trying lots of other brands he still was having trouble. After doing research I decided to give Thrive a go and it has been great. No more issues and he loves it. The quality is very good which is important to me as I only want the best for them.
