Ive purchased from several places, including Amazon, Pets at Home and even direct from Thrive. All have been the same recently ,and have a perculiar smell, are yellow/orange in colour and are hard and crunchy and my cat will not touch them. I was told nothing had changed, but clearly I'm not the only one who has noticed this. Bring back the old ones, I've got a very grumpy cat!
Last 3 tubs bought from Amazon have smelled strongly of fish and I have found myself checking on more than one occasion that I have the chicken flavour!
Texture wise it completely crumbles to dust when a slight amount of pressure is applied.
Then to make matters worse prices are higher and thumbs have 30g less product!
I have bought these treats for years and can go through a tub in less than 2 weeks. Unfortunately I'm going to have to go elsewhere.
As a long standing buyer of these for 2 ravenous Ragdolls, I don't quite know what's happened to your latest batch. I also have ordered recently from Amazon AND Zooplus and the treats are odd and my cats won't touch them. They're yellow, and like polystyrene pieces. They also don't have the same batch numbers [GB] as before - and the orange on the labelling of your tins is a different orange. Starting to worry that they might be counterfeit ones. Have you changed manufacturer?

My cat loved these, however it seems that the recipe/production method has been changed recently, or there's been some issue with the storage facility. I've bought three packs at three different distributors (Amazon, Ocado and Zooplus), and all three cans have a strange texture - as if the "chicken bits" are made out of insulation foam. My cat won't eat it, even though she loves these usually, and I can't blame her. New cans smell odd, and the pieces are darker in colour. I threw the first can out, but the remaining two have the following numbers under the BB date:
1) LNQR202404 - 1200PF009
2) LNQR202403 - 1200PF009
Is this an odd batch or are Thrive really done making actual 100% chicken 0% nonsense treats?

My cats and kittens love these treats more than any other treats! If I cannot find them, then all I need to do is the rattle the tin of treats and they all come running.
