Bad batch again :(

I thought you're done with the bad batch. This is such a bad experience! I ordered in October and my 2 cats who normally love these wouldn't touch them. They were hard and smelled off, i originally wrote this off as a loss and threw the(not inexpensive) tub away,it was only after I had bought the replacement and was having the same issue, did i start looking to see if others were reporting the same problems as I was having. Many people were/are affected. So the November tub got binned and I decided to no longer purchase till the issue went away. A local petshop i frequent also has seen customers returns with the same problem. So not just online stock seemed affected by this issue..So my cats have went without :( Starting December I saw a few reviews on Amazon saying the quality was good again- the batch codes starting with the prefix GB and not LN like the affected ones were-
I gave it another try hoping it's back to its normal quality. In December I received a box from a newer batch GB Batch Code and my cats, who have been missing their thrive treats loved it,getting through the tub quickly! Just before Christmas I ordered it again, thinking the spoilt batch was gone and i was sent a bad one, LN batch code (see picture) I have been purchasing though your Amazon webstore. The tubs are ineligible for refund according to Amazon, but I'm now 3 large tubs and approximately £60 out of pocket and hoping that contacting you here will give you an opportunity to put this right. you are losing loyal customers with this issue.

Changed the product

My cat loved these, however it seems that the recipe/production method has been changed recently, or there's been some issue with the storage facility. I've bought three packs at three different distributors (Amazon, Ocado and Zooplus), and all three cans have a strange texture - as if the "chicken bits" are made out of insulation foam. My cat won't eat it, even though she loves these usually, and I can't blame her. New cans smell odd, and the pieces are darker in colour. I threw the first can out, but the remaining two have the following numbers under the BB date:
1) LNQR202404 - 1200PF009
2) LNQR202403 - 1200PF009

Is this an odd batch or are Thrive really done making actual 100% chicken 0% nonsense treats?

Hi Kate,
Would you mind emailing us at info@thrivepetfoods.com so we can send you some from a newer batch to see if your cat prefers these?
Much thanks,
Thrive

Best treats ever!

My cats and kittens love these treats more than any other treats! If I cannot find them, then all I need to do is the rattle the tin of treats and they all come running.

They are yummy! Thank you on behalf of your kittens and cats for feeding Thrive!

Brilliant way to give medication!

Both of my cats are on medication and it is impossible to get a tablet down them. I soak the chicken treats in warm water so that they become soft and then use them to mop up the powder or crushed tablet - cats eat them so fast they don't notice!

What a great idea - thank you for sharing!

Karma's mummy
great treat for poorly kitties

My very old fluffbundle became really ill with a digestive disorder and wouldn't eat anything even with treatment on steroids.. she totally lost her appetite and was down to 2kg. The vet said he could do nothing else for her. I'd give n up.. then I gave her a treat and she started eating again! I love the medication tip above.. sometimes I sprinkle crushed treat on food if she's going through a picky stage. Really great quality. The prawn ones are even more addictive.

Good morning,
We are sorry to read that your little fluffbundle became ill. We are so pleased that our treats have given her some comfort.
All the best,
Thrive, x

Fantastic cat food!

Fantastic! The cat food is very high quality with no junk in it. The Thrive wets tins with some Thrive dry has been the main diet for my 7 cats for the last 10 years and they are doing great. I would highly recommend trying anything made by Thrive!

The quality is very good

One of my cats has a sensitive tummy. After trying lots of other brands he still was having trouble. After doing research I decided to give Thrive a go and it has been great. No more issues and he loves it. The quality is very good which is important to me as I only want the best for them.
